Bart Deygers is an assistant professor of second language acquisition and language testing at Ghent University. His research interests include language assessment, policy analysis, applied linguistics and mixed-methods research. Currently, he is supervising various studies that focuses on the impact of learner variables on instructed second language gains and educational opportunities, and a research project that examines the agency of language testers in policy-making processes. In his own research, he often focuses on the interface between test score use, policy and social justice, and in the IMPECT project, Bart is a researcher on WP3.
