Contents and structure

The course is structired in two modules: Modul 1: International management. Modul 2: Change management.


Modul 1: International management 

International management, organizational internationalization process, international cross-cultural management, cutural synergy, international communication, international negociation.

Modul 2: Change management

Forces driving organizational change, content of change, scope of change, context of change, change processes, change strategies, management styles.

Learning Outcome


Modul 1: International management

  • Knowledge about organizational internationationalization process and evaluation of cultures effects and consequences.
  • Knowledge about cultural dimensions across the world.
  • Knowledge about cutural synergy.

Modul 2: Change management

  • Concepts, theories, models on change management.
  • Knowledge about processes and strategies to apply for organisational change.
  • Knowledge about management styles related to change.


Modul 1: International management

  • Identify cultural differences across nations.
  • Identify consequences of cultural differences.
  • Plan for international negociations.

Modul 2: Change management

  • Apply theories and models to conduct a strategic analysis for organizational change.
  • By using theories and models, discuss and reflect upon different change strategies and management styles.     

General competencies

Modul 1: International management

  • Develop an awareness of challenges and opportunities related to internationalization and management of such processes.
  • Develop an awareness of national cultural differences and develop the ability to reflect upon consequences on organizational management.

Modul 2: Change management

  • Develop an understanding of opportunities as well as limitations faced with organizational changes.
  • Develop the ability to analyse and discuss different issues based on researchand theories.

Recommended previous knowledge

OR6-1005 Strategy or equivalent; OR6-1001 Organisational theory or equivalent.

Teaching methods

Lectures and team work.


Written school exam.
