ADHD, uppmärksamhetsproblem och effekter av brusljud (white noise) och visuell stimulering white pixel noise
Min huvudsakliga forskning är inom fältet kognitiv psykologi och handlar primärt om uppmärksamhet, kognitiv kontroll och minne hos personer med uppmärksamhets-problem. Ett huvudfynd i min forskning är att ett högt brusljud (80 dB white noise, ”myrornas krig ljud”) hjälper personer med dessa problem att hålla fokus under krävande minnesuppgifter. Denna brusförbättring gäller för såväl personer med uppmärksamhetsproblem. Forskar också på barn med läs- och skrivproblem

Denna brusförbättring gäller för såväl personer med uppmärksamhetsproblem som de med en ADHD diagnos.
Forskar också på kogntiva effekter av tvåskriftspråklighet, nynorsk och bokmål inom ramen för projketet MultiLit.
Specialpedagogik, neuropsykiatriska funktionsnedsättningar som ADHD och ASD. Undervisar också i kognitiv psykologi om minne och minnesfunktioner men också i utvcklingspsykologi.
Min forskning om effekter av sensorisk stimulering har får stor internationell uppmärksamhet den senaste tiden. Hashtagen #Brown noise på Tik Tok har fått över 97 miljoner nerlastningar. Personer med uppmärksamhetsproblem har helt enkellt själva upptäckt värdet av att lyssna på auditivt brown noise för att få hjärnan att fungera bättre. Jag blev intervjuad av New York Times, Washington Post och the Guardian hade också ett längre inslag om forskningen. se länkar nedan.
