Arbeids- og kompetanseområde
Jeg er ansatt som professor ved Institutt for Velferd og Deltaking (IVD), FHS, hvor mine primæroppgaver er tilknyttet masterprogrammet i sosialvitenskap, tidligere samfunnsarbeid. Jeg er utdannet Sosialantropolog fra Universitetet i Bergen og er leder for forskergruppen Samfunnsarbeid ved IVD.
Mine faglige interesser omhandler mekanismer for inkludering, marginalisering og samhold, deltagerdemokratiske prosesser, samt forholdet mellom statlig tjenesteutforming og sivilsamfunnet. Med empirisk fokus på en aldrende befolkning er en fellesnevner for forsknings- og undervisningsinteresser deltakelse og medborgerskap i konteksten av velferdsstaten.
