Global Lounge
Global Lounge is a social meeting place on all HVL's campuses. Here you can meet other international and Norwegian students and participate in fun activities together. Global Lounge welcome all international and Norwegian students to our activities, which will be led by our student assistant on each campus.
What is the Global Lounge?
Global Lounge is a concept and a physical space on all HVL campuses that will contribute to Internationalization at Home through activities that will give international and Norwegian students and staff possibilities to get to know each other. In addition, Global Lounge activities will aim to inspire HVL students to study a semester abroad.
What is happening in the Global Lounge?
Throughout the year, activities such as a language café, quizzes and movie evenings, student presentations, workshops and much more. Student assistants on each campus are responsible for activities in the Global Lounge, but both students and staff can arrange activities in the lounge.
If you would like to create an event, please contact the student assistant on your campus. All activities in the Global Lounge should be free. You can apply for economic support for activities you want to have in the Global Lounge.

Global Lounge Bergen
On campus Bergen the Global Lounge activities will be held in the area next to the student café at ground floor in building K1.
Activities in Global Lounge spring 2024:
- January 10: The student organisations present themselves
- February 7: Career-day. An international career.
- March 12: "Sirkulærdagene" - the circular days
- April: The library - writing festival
- May: De-stress workshop
- June: End of semester! Outdoors activities with games and BBQ

On campus Haugesund the Global Lounge activities will be held in the main canteen at campus.

On campus Sogndal the Global Lounge is located on the 4th floor of the Høgskule building.
