Autumn 2020: All student mobility is cancelled
Because of the ongoing pandemic, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) has now decided to cancel all student exchange (inbound and outbound) for the autumn semester of 2020.
The pandemic has been challenging for everyone, and with restrictions to international air travel, challenges with obtaining residence permits / visas, and other related issues this is, unfortunately, the only way to ensure that the students of our partners, and HVL’s own students, can safely make plans for their next semester at their own home university instead of going abroad.
HVL is committed to international cooperation and have partnerships all over the world. The decision to stop all student mobility for a semester has not been an easy one. We know that many universities around the world are struggling with the same questions. It is our hope that the situation will improve over the next semester and that we can get back to ordinary mobility activities in the spring semester of 2021.
