Learning, physical education and outdoor life
The research group "Learning, physical education and outdoor life" has been established with origins in the Sogndal campus and works with various issues related to outdoor life and physical education.
The participants work with various issues that concern teaching and learning in higher education, school and other contexts. Learning theories with emphasis on physical and contextual learning are a common theme for the project and practical research and knowledge production are prioritized.
"Physical education" points first and foremost to projects with relevance to the subject in school and physical education teacher education, but also to research on bodily learning, motor skills and movement cultures more generally.
"Outdoor life" is in the same way far-reaching, and then in a field where concepts such as experience / quality of life may traditionally have our focus more than learning.
