Absence during the fellowship period

The fellowship period may be extended in the event of absences that are authorised by law or collective agreement, such as sick leave, maternity, care and welfare leave and conscription.

Fellowship holders shall have their fellowship period extended corresponding to the parental leave period.

PhD candidates who are entitled to breastfeeding breaks (up to 2 hours per day) are entitled to extension of the fellowship period corresponding to the time spent breastfeeding until the child is two years old.
