Comparative care service research

Comparative care service research is an interdisciplinary research group that conducts research of the Norwegian welfare services in a comparative perspective.

Our main focus is municipal health and care services. We are also concerned with the dynamics that often crosses sectors, levels, municipalities, and national borders.

The focal point is the diversity, content, and context of services – including the relationship between service systems, local and central governments, political systems and controls, users and civil society.

The group is based at the Center for Care Research, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and organizes regular research seminars where literature and ongoing research work is discussed.
