Department of Arts Education
The Department of Arts Education (DAE) is based in the campuses of Bergen, Sogndal and Stord. The institute’s 70 employees cater to several hundred students through a broad portfolio of bachelor, master, one-year and Professional Development study programs in visual arts, drama, music, primary, secondary, community and pre-school education.
DAE is pro-active in the fields of national and international Research and Development (R&D), innovation in arts education and dissemination of activities and results. The institute’s policy is to realize these functions as seamlessly integrated with its study programs and staff activity. DAE thereby aims to be a relevant actor with regard to supporting and further developing high quality arts education in Norway and beyond.
