On this page, you will find information about education and research at the partner institutions.
Three of the partners offer doctoral education (UCA, UOI and OUC), one partner offers bachelor and master education (OTH) and two offer bachelor education (VIVES and TTK). All partners in the project conduct professional education and research. Three of the partners are larger universities with a breadth that goes beyond the professional (UCA, OUC and UOI), one partner is a technical university (TTK) and two partners are purely professional universities/Universities of Applied Sciences (VIVES and OTH).
Université Clermont Auvergne (UCA), France
University with 35,000 students. Merged in 2017 (formerly Université Blaise Pascal and Université d'Auvergne). Offers education in languages, humanities, law, economics and administration, technology, engineering, health, environment, life sciences, science. Bachelor, master and PhD programs (5). UCA is a partner in the Horizon 2020 project EERAdata - “Towards a FAIR and open data ecosystem in the low carbon energy research community” which is coordinated by HVL. Leads the ERASME Centre of excellence on sustainable development. An EU-funded centre through the Jean Monnet programme
University of Ioannina (UOI), Greece
18,000 students divided into 7 “schools”. School of Philosophy, Science, Health Sciences, Education, Economic and Social Sciences, Fine Arts, Engineering. Bachelor, Master and PhD programmes.
Ovidius University of Constanta (OUC), Romania
Offers education from bachelor to PhD level within a wide range from health sciences and engineering to humanities and law. Approximately 15,000 students. The Faculty of Technology, Environmental and Social Sciences participated as partners in an EEA project together with OUC aimed at entrepreneurship and tourism.
VIVES University of Applied Sciences (VIVES), Belgium
Vives is a professional university that offers bachelor's degrees in engineering, technology, social sciences, biotechnology, economics, computer science, teacher education and health. 15,000 students distributed across five campuses/cities in Belgium. Does not offer master's degrees and/or PhD programs, but has six research centers: Center of expertise for Care Innovation, Social innovation, Smart Technologies, Education innovation, Business management and Agrotechnology and Biotechnology. HVL has an Erasmus exchange agreement with Vives that includes three faculties: FLKI, FHS (healthcare) and FIN (construction).
Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule (OTH), Germany
Technical university with 11,000 students. Offers 50 bachelor's/master's programs in engineering, economics, design, architecture, health and social sciences. No PhD program. The study portfolio is reminiscent of the old Bergen University College. OTH coordinates the INTREPID-HEI project in which HVL, UCA, VIVES, OUC and TTK participate.
Tallin University of Applied Sciences (TTK), Estonia
Technical university in Tallinn. Offers bachelor's degree programs in engineering. 3200 students.
Università degli Studi di Perugia
One of Europe's oldest universities, established in 1308. It is located in the city of Perugia, in the middle of Italy, in the Umbria region. The university has 16 faculties, 20 doctoral programs, 54 research laboratories.
