Berit Rokne

Berit Rokne is the first rector of the newly merged Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

Rokne came to Western Norway University from the post of Professor at the Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care at the University of Bergen. She has extensive experience as head of educational institutions, and was appointed Pro-Rector and Vice-Rector for Education at the University of Bergen. She also worked as a director of Academic Affairs at Bergen University College.

Rokne has a PhD in nursing science.
