Associate Professor Dr. Carmen Olsen's teaching and research interest are in the areas of accounting, auditing, digitization and sustainability reporting. She has a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration from BI Norwegian Business School, Master Degree in Accounting and Auditing (MRR) and a PhD in Auditing from The Norwegian School of Economics NHH. Her extensive work experience includes: 11 years from academic positions and 8 years from positions in the Norwegian public and private sector. The supervision experience includes theses at the bachelor, master and doctoral level (over 30) theses. Carmen Olsen has presented papers in over 30 international conferences in Norway, US, Europe and Asia, such as the American Accounting Association (AAA), European Accounting Association (EAA), Norwegian FIBE, the French ADERSE and Bahranian conferences.
Today, she is the subject coordinator for the accounting profession profile at HVL Campus Bergen and the head of the research group "Sustainability and Green Innovation" at HVL.
She has held associate professor II positions at NHH and HINN and has been part of evaluation committees for the assessment of PhD theses in accounting and auditing at UiA. Dr. Olsen has published and reviewed in ABS and / Scopus ranked journals.
