Field of work

She has worked at HVL since January -21 and taught milieu therapy work at the master's degree in social science, bachelor's in child welfare and various courses at the bachelor's degree in social work. 

Since 2022, she has been a PhD candidate with the PhD program Health, Function and Participation. She researches the knowledge and competence of staff in Residential Child Care Institutions (RCCI), and investigates in particular different aspects of milieu therapeutic work with adolescents and substance use.

She has a bachelor's in Child welfare from Oslo University College (2002) and a Master's degree in Child welfare from the University of Bergen (2013) with the topic "Program implementation in Residential Child Care Institutions", on staff's experiences of implementation and implementation quality. She is also educated in pedagogy, special education, social anthropology, as well as ethnicity and child welfare. 

She has worked in Child Welfare Services and in RCCI for several years, both as staff and head of department.
