Field of work
Marion Oen holds a Public Sector Ph.D. position which is rooted in a collaboration between Bergen municipality and HVL and receives funding from the Research Council of Norway. She is admitted to the research program for bildung and pedagogical practices at HVL and is a part of KINDknow (Kindergarten Knowledge Centre for Systematic Research on Diversity and Sustainable Futures).
Marion has a bachelor`s degree in Pre-school Education from HVL and a master`s degree in Education from NLA University College. She has a versatile background from working in kindergartens both as a pedagogical leader and as a special adviser with migration as her area of expertise. Her research explores intercultural play and aims at contributing to a better understanding of how kindergartens may work to facilitate easy access to play. She is also contributing to EX-PED-LAB (Exploration and Pedagogical Innovation Laboratories).
Elin Eriksen Ødegaard is her main supervisor, Alicja Renata Sadownik is co-supervisor and Mimi Bjerkestrand is mentor.
