Radina Hristova Trengereid

Radina Trengereid is Deputy Head of Department for the Section of Innovation Studies at the Business School, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences. She has extensive management experience from knowledge-based and welfare organizations across the public and private sectors, as well as broad experience in international cooperation in research, technology, and higher education. In addition, she has taught courses in leadership as well as health and welfare policy at the University of Bergen and Sogn og Fjordane University College.

Trengereid has previously served as Counsellor for Research, Technology, and Higher Education at the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, including postings at the Norwegian Embassy in Washington, D.C., with responsibility for cooperation with the United States and Canada. She has also held senior executive positions as Managing Director at Haraldsplass Diaconess Hospital, Deputy Director at Christian Michelsen Institute, Director of the Bergen District Court, and Municipal Director of Health and Welfare Services in Voss municipality.

She holds a degree in Business Administration from the Norwegian School of Economics and a Master degree in Public Administration and Management from Copenhagen Business School. In addition, she has undertaken advanced studies in areas including labour law, ethics, communication, conflict management, and EU law. Her academic interests include leadership, strategy, innovation, organizational development, public sector governance, and the interplay between research, policy, and societal development.
