Field of work
My main research areas cover
-
the use of mathematical models (Ordinary-, Partial-, Delay-, and Stochastic differential equations) to describe physical/biological phenomena and processes
-
Inverse and ill-posed physical and bio-mathematical problems, with emphasis on regularization, optimization, and uncertainty
My current research focuses on uncertain predictability (in space-time) and controllability of marine population dynamics. I aim to derive bounded approximation of state variables, when data is sparse and uncertain, and the underlying drivers of the system dynamics are vaguely understood. Some of my research papers can be accessed from: Research gate
I am a also a Research professor (fish stock and population dynamics) at the IMR -- Institute of Marine Research (Bergen
