Field of work
I am interested in how students learn and how they develop their professional competence. I have a particular focus on clinical reasoning among students and occupational therapists, and on the processes that help students become confident and skilled practitioners. To support high-quality, up-to-date occupational therapy practice, I have researched evidence-based practice. In my doctoral work, I investigated how a mobile app, EBPsteps, can be used as a learning tool to promote students’ ability to work in an evidence-based manner. I work as a manager, lecturer, and researcher in the Bachelor's programme in Occupational Therapy at the Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL).
