Field of work
I am a trained social anthropologist with a broad interest in society, social sciences in education and pedagogy. I have extensive experience from school and a strong interest in the field of education. As a researcher, I am particularly interested in culture, violent conflict, social inequality, citizenship and social science didactics in general. Furthermore, I am engaged in collaboration within research and education between Norway and East Africa. I am also affiliated with the BARNkunne-center for kindergarten research.
I teach social studies within the primary and lower secondary teacher education (GLU), kindergarten teacher education (BLU) and practical pedagogical education (PPU) on campus Stord. I also teach in the subject Education for Sustainable Development with Practice in Africa (UBU).
