Overview of courses and activities at the research school NORBARN.

The research school offers three different types of courses. All courses will have at least two partner institutions that collaborate on the content of the course.

PhD courses given at partner institutions, 5 ECTS

Courses with their own subject code and final exam for all participants, each course triggers 5 ECTS. Link to subject codes and content will be published when these are ready. The courses come with a transcript.

Courses that will be offered in 2024:

Recent kindergarten research in a Nordic perspective (PHUV9480), 5 ECTS, spring 2024, OsloMet.
The application deadline for spring 2024 was 1 November 2023. Application via the application web (read more on OsloMet's website).

Responsible management of knowledge development - establishing change agents, 5 ECTS, autumn 2024, University of Western Norway

Optional digital courses, 1-5 ECTS

Optional digital courses corresponding to 1-5 ECTS. Diploma from the research school after passing the course. Courses that will be offered in spring 2024:

8 -10 April: Open Science (specialization Early Childhood Education and Care). Digital tutorial from 09.15 - 12.00 every day.

Webinar

The research school offers digital mini-seminars that are open to anyone interested.
For the seminars you need to register in advanced, and a link will be sent out to those who are registered a few days before the seminar.

In the spring semester 2024, NORBARN has a webinar series on working life relevance and transferable skills.

Tuesday 20 February 2024: "Evaluation of the framework plan - what does the research show and what might be relevant for the kindergarten sector?"

"Innovation and academic impact", 90 minutes, digital. 6 October 2023

Prioritization for admission to courses at the research school:

  1. Students accepted at the research school NORBARN
  2. Students at the institution at which the course is given
  3. External students* if there is space available.

*For external students, it may be necessary to accept a deductible.

In addition, the research school offers short webinars for anyone interested.
