Project summary
The aim is twofold: (i) to establish research - based and practice - based knowledge of the criteria used by coaches, teachers and artistic supervisors, when identifying the talented child or young person and (ii) to provide for extensive knowledge and greater understanding of how a talent is developed and stimulated in qualified ways.
The intention is to raise the qualitative perception and knowledgeable information in understanding talent and the development of the gifted, and, in addition, to provide criteria and lines of guidance, functional for professional use in the fields of practice, worked out in collaboration with trainers, coaches, teachers, and artistic mentors.
Method
This study takes a qualitative approach, using intensive, personal interviews. The interviews are open/semi – structured, and the participants are 8 informants from each of the categories coaches, teachers and artistic supervisors (dance and music).
