Theatre and Education

Project summary

The aims of the project are to create a network between theatre pedagogs, directors and administrators in th Nordic countries, Baltic countries and Russia. The network will share ideas, opinions and "good practice", create new methods and ways of co-operation between theatres and educational institutions. The three areas of exploration are: 1) young peaople's theatre, 2) theatre/drama in schols and 3)community theatre for adolescence and adult. This is a three year long project, with the intention to meet at least once a year. The firs network meeting took place in Turku in November 1999. The network will report its' experiences at the world congress IDEA 2001 - Bergen.
