"Futures" - Future Methods through teaching "Futures Studies"

Project summary

This is a Socrates/Comenius Action 3.1. project and runs in tandem to a Comenius Action 1 project. Is is a three year project and aims to set up an in-service course for 30 teachers from all over Europe in London 3-9 June 2000. The course will focus on the European dimension in the teaching of Future Studies and Future teaching methods with a special emphasis on ICT. The Comenius Action 1 project will set up a gathering of 24 delegates from six primary schools in parallel to the in-service course. The two projects will co-operate in arranging a Children's Parliament as a final event for the pupils in the Comenius Action 1 project. We are developing web pages for the project and the in-service course, and we will be producing a CD-ROM and teacher packs which can be used for others as models for setting up an in-service course on Futures Studies.
