Project summary
The main aim of the present study is to investigate the psykometric properties of three Questionnaires ? The Health Education Impact Questionnaire, Mental Health Continuum Quesstionnaire and Knowledge about Psoriasis that measures different dimensions of healthpromoting competance. The study will especially focus on the Questionnaire?s content validity; construct validity, reliability, sensitivity og responsiveness. This is a follow up study of Norwegian patients with psoriasis that receive 3 weeks climat therapy for psoriasis at Valle Marina, Gran Canaria. Measurements will be done when the climat therapy starts (T1), after ended treatment (T2) and 2 months after the climat therapy has ended (T3). The Study?s variables will be self report through Questionnaires (demographic and clinical variables, healthpromoting competance, knowledge, quality of life, illness perception, mental health, sense of coherence), journal data (disease characteristics and treatment) and clinical test for level of eruption. The Respondentens will be recruited from the Office for Treatment Trips, Rikshospitalet University Hospital. Patients that receive climat therapy are representative for patients with psoriasis in an active treatment phase. The Study will recruit respondents in age group 20 ? 70 years.. The Study will in the first phase include 200 persones totally. The inclusion period is estimated to approximately 6 months.
