Orientation Days
The orientation days for exchange students take place at the beginning of each semester. During these days you will get necessary information about being a student at HVL. We look forward to seeing you all at our campuses!
The official semester start of the autumn semester of 2026 is January 5th.
There will be two orientation events. The first was a digital orientation meeting on Zoom on the 15th of December. The second will be a physical orientation in January, on the campus you are going to. See the programme for your campus below.
This is a recording of the digital orientation meeting for spring 2026. Below, you wil find a recording from June which includes information from the Student Welfare Organisation, Sammen. They couldn't participate in the meeting on the 15th of December, so please view the June-meeting for information about their services.

Campus Sogndal
Monday 19th of January
All students will meet on the 19th of January in the main building. More info and program will come.
Campus Bergen
Tuesday 6th and Thursday 8th of January
Please make sure to be at campus by these days. More information on meeting point and program will come.
Campus Stord
Varying dates
Nursing students to Stord will arrive at varying dates. In your first week there will be an orientation meeting with lunch and a tour of campus. Please check with your academic contact person about starting dates.
