"Culture eats strategy for breakfast." Peter Drucker referred to business, but the quote illustrates the impact culture has om people's lives and actions. To study culture in history is therefore important to understand the past. People are products of its culture and time. During the course we examine how culture in its many forms has influenced people throughout history and continues to do so today. Cultural historians have studied food- and drink culture, understandings of the human body, of music, objects, travel and much, much more. Cultural history touches upon the many facets of human life and history, a cultural historic perspective is therefore useful regardless of the time period or area in which one may be interested.
