Teacher Education exchange programmes

The Faculty of Education, Arts and sports invites you to explore selected courses from our Primary and Lower Secondary Teacher Education programme. Courses are offered at our campuses in Stord and Bergen

All courses give 15 ECTS points and are combined in 30 ECTS course packages you are invited to choose from.

Nordic students 

Nordic students who can follow instruction in Norwegian may take courses that are part of the regular curriculum of our teacher education programmes. Contact studierettleiar-flki@hvl.no to arrange your exchange package. 

How to apply

Exchange students from our partner universities are welcome to use procedure to apply for student exchange to HVL, and then choose our courses of offer when nominated. 

There is no tuition fee for the programme, only a semester fee applicable for all students at HVL. Exchange students must be prepared to cover their own expenses (travel, accommodation etc). 

About Bergen and Stord

Campus in Bergen is located at Kronstad just south of the second largest city in Norway. The campus was built in 2014, in and around six old railway halls. The new building brilliantly integrates the old houses in a new and modern award-winning campus. Read about student life in Bergen.

Campus Stord is located on an island in a beautiful natural setting close to the mountains, fjords and the sea. The town Leirvik is a few kilometres south of campus and the city of Bergen is 80 km to the north.
