Field of work
Responsibilities and tasks of the head of section are:
• Responsibility for academic quality in education and research within the section’s areas
• Responsibility for the daily operation of studies and the development of a good learning environment
• Responsibility for work plans for employees in the section
• Maintain personnel and HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) responsibility for the section’s employees
• Ensure that study plans comply with established requirements and further develop quality and relevance in the study programs
• Contribute to collaboration across sections and departments
• Contribute to the development of research-based education
• Work for the internationalization of education and research
• Systematic quality assurance and quality development of the educations and follow up on student evaluations
• Contribute to good recruitment of students and employees
• Contribute to further developing relationships with partners related to the section’s educations and subject areas
• Facilitate that employees participate in research groups across sections and departments
• Responsible for ensuring that the section’s financial frameworks are adhered to, and ensure good and appropriate use of the section’s resources
