PhD Candidate

Jogscha Miriam Abderhalden

Field of work

I am a geographer and research at the intersection of glaciology, geophysics and remote sensing. In my PhD project, I use geophysical methods, mainly ground penetrating radar, to investigate the landscape under the ice and other climate-sensitive landscape forms such as peatland and lakes.

Beyond that, with my backrgound in geography I thrive at the intersection between the natural sciences and social sciences and like to look at natural phenomenon both from the physical and societal perspective.
