Meryem Førli-Ekerhovd

Meryem Førli-Ekerhovd is an Innovation Advisor at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL). Since 2023, she has worked to strengthen the interaction between research and industry, with particular emphasis on the development and funding of research and innovation projects. She has expertise in grant schemes and the Norwegian funding system for research and innovation, and extensive experience in supporting projects through strategic guidance and proposal development.

From autumn 2025, she is affiliated with HVL Skape – HVL’s strategic initiative on innovation and entrepreneurship for students across all campuses, faculties, and study programmes. In this role, she has a particular interest in health innovation and social entrepreneurship, and works to enhance students’ ability to develop sustainable and socially beneficial solutions. She is also dedicated to fostering student engagement and entrepreneurial learning, contributing to HVL as a dynamic arena for creativity and innovation across disciplines.
