Field of work

I am a college lecturer in   Nursing, specializing in primary care for the elderly and the chronically ill. My position is linked to the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, Department of Health and Care Sciences, Section for Bachelor of Nursing, Bergen. I have good skills in practice supervision for nursing students in the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year. I am interested in how students learn practical skills and competence in the nursing profession, and receive an education of high professional quality. I want to research practical training in the nursing profession, as this is crucial for the nursing profession of the future.

I have a master's degree in Evidence-Based Practice from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.

Previously, I have been a project employee and working group leader in the Trust and Professionalism Reform in Bergen municipality, Arna and Åsane districts. I have good experience from municipal health services  in nursing both from home-based services and nursing homes



Teaches

In my current position, I teach courses related to basic nursing, supervision of students in written works in Bildung and academic crafts and supervision in writing a bachelor's thesis, skills training, simulation in practical training - basic nursing. Teaching   in nursing and courses related to the section's study program.
