Vegard Pihl Moen

Field of work

Has clinical experience from both the municipal health service and the specialist health service. Worked as a municipal physiotherapist in Grue municipality (2001), physiotherapist at Valnesfjord Health Sports Centre (2001-2002), specialist physiotherapist at the Coastal Hospital in Stavern (2002 - 2010), and specialist physiotherapist at the Coastal Hospital in Hagevik (2010 - 2018). 
Employed at HVL since August 2018. Teaches mainly at bachelor's level in physiotherapy, and has supervised students for a master's thesis associated with the master's in clinical physiotherapy at HVL.

Master's degree in human movement science from NTNU and PhD from UiB, Department of Global Public Health and Primary Care.

Employed 20% as Associate Professor II at HVL. Mainly teaches movement teacher, especially in biomechanics.

Head of the Regional Centre for Habilitation and Rehabilitation in the Western Norway Regional Health Authority. Chairman of the board of Fysiofondet.

Has initiated and participated/participates in various research projects that have involved both patients within specific diagnostic groups as well as general rehabilitation patients, with study design such as RCT and prospective cohort studies. Further competence in linguistic translation of measurement tools and assessment of measurement properties (psychometrics) for tests and mapping tools. Has been a member of the professional council in the Norwegian Directorate of Health for the project Quality Registry in Rehabilitation. Has been leader of the research group BeFu (Movement and Function) in the period 2021 - 2023, deputy chair until 2024.
