Student card

The student card is an important part of the study routine. Among other things, cards will be needed to be able to leave the buildings in the evening.

How to order a student card

To get a student card at HVL, you must have activated your user account and  completed your semester registration.

Logging in to konto.hvl.no without ID-porten

  1. Go to konto.hvl.no and select “Forgot password”.

  2. Select "Cannot use ID-porten and fill in your private email.

  3. You will then receive a link by email and a code by SMS. When the page asks you to set a new password, do not set a new password. Instead, write "konto.hvl.no" in the address bar, and you will be given access to My Account.

  4. Upload a photo of yourself

  5. Create a PIN-kode (for the doors)
  6. Select 'Order access card' and choose the campus where you want to pick up the card

No student cards will be produced unless they are ordered via My Account.

Distribution of student cards

You must present a photo ID card or the student app with a photo in order to collect your student card.

Haugesund, Førde og Sogndal: You can collect your card from Servicetorget between 08:00 a.m. -15:00 p.m. Please note that it may take up to one week after ordering through My Account before the card is ready for collection.

Stord: You can collect your card from Servicetorget between 09:00 a.m. - 13.00 p.m. Please note that it can take up to one week after ordering through My Account before the card is ready for collection.

Bergen: You can collect your card Monday to Friday:

  • 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. outside rooms F111/F112
  • 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Servicetorget
  • Saturday and Sunday: 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Servicetorget

Please note that it may take up to one week after ordering through My Account before the card is ready for collection.
