Project summary

This document summarises the grounds for my promotion to associate professor ( førstelektor), based on my position as assistant professor in pedagogy at the Faculty of Teacher Education. The application outlines and documents my eligibility for promotion in pedagogy, with an emphasis on professional development in teacher education linked to two areas I have been working on since 2005: cultural diversity and core practices. The application is based on the criteria in Section 1-5 of the regulations (Ministry of Education and Research, 2006; Ministry of Education and Research, 2015), which state that the senior lecturer pathway values experience-based and professional knowledge. I therefore refer to my broad experience in research, development, teaching, education, and my experience and expertise as a senior lecturer in the Department of Education at Western Norway University of Applied Sciences.
