Project summary
The project aims at improving singing skills with adult students by developing appropriate tools for self practice in collaboration with the user group. By analyzing individual student recordings (singing exam) from 6 classes at the preschool teacher program and applying principles from Kodaly’s music pedagogy, criterias for songs that are easy to sing has been developed, and songs matching these criterias have been recorded with male and female voice and made available to new student groups as helping aids for individual practice.
Method
Analysis of recorded soundfiles from students. Recording of new soundfiles for self practice. New assessment of student sound files (exam recordings) and analysis of a selection of these sound files.
