This project is a continuation of my work with the PhD thesis: Norwegian Psychomotor Physiotherapy and Embodied Narrative Identity. A theory generating study. The intention is to bring forward basic life conditions at play during the process of psychomotor physiotherapy. The aim for the period the autumn of 2015/the spring of 2016 is to write two articles: one theoretical and one case study.

Article 1:

Here the work with Braatøy´s basic ideas, foundational to Norwegian Psychomotor Physiotherapy (NPMP), in light of Løgstrup´s philosophy of sensation will be continued. It will deal with the foundation of and reflections around the therapeutic dialogue during embodied transformation processes. This involves new analysis.

Article 2:

With a retrospective case study, based on in-depth interview, this article will illuminate experiences from NPMP of one patient. In a focus-group interview, 4 years ago, she described how she had changed from living in internal turmoil to discovering embodied peace. This had given her hope for new future possibilities. With in-depth interview we wish to explore how these experiences have been woven into her life story.

Method

Article 1:

Investigation of sources and hermaneutic analysis following Ricoeur. The point of departure is two previous articles based on Braatøy's primary texts and  Løgstrup's philosophy as theoretical perspectiv. In this new analysis the theoretical perspective will be expanded with narrativ theory.

Article 2:

Indebth interview, hermaneutic and narrative analysis.
