Project summary

Background

In 2007, organizational conditions, quality of health care and job satisfaction in the nursing staffs at four internal medical wards in Førde Hospital Trust was assessed. The study was repeated in December 2017, where also the doctor and student were included.

It is important to measure the quality of health tests, work environment and job satisfaction in health care. As far as we know, there are no studied that have studied these factors over time.  Such knowledge is important to display important factors related to time trends. It is also useful to get information about how different professionals interacts.

Research questions

  1. Has quality of health care, work environment and job satisfaction changed from 2007 to 2017?

  2. How does doctors and students evaluate quality of health care, work environment and job satisfaction in 2017?

Methods

Research question 1 is a prospective study from 2007 to 2017. A cross-sectional design is applied for research questions 2.

The following questionnaires are used:

  • The Ward Organizational Features Scales (WOFS)

  • Quality of health care

  • Job Satisfaction Scale (JSS)
