Catherine Lammert
Catherine Lammert is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Teacher Education in the College of Education at Texas Tech University. Her research focuses on intersectional ecological justice, children’s literature, and text selection in teacher education. She has authored over 50 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Teaching and Teacher Education, Science Education, and Literacy, reflecting her interdisciplinary interests in ecological justice in science and literacy education. She is the former elected chair of the National Council for Teachers of English ELATE Commission on Climate Inquiry, Justice, and Action. Over a period of four years, she oversaw a doubling of the active membership of this commission. Most recently, her article “How is climate activism represented in award-winning children’s picturebooks? A critical content analysis” was published in English Teaching: Practice and Critique.
