Reinhard Hennig

Reinhard Hennig is professor of Nordic literature at the University of Agder, Norway, with a research focus on ecocriticism and interdisciplinary environmental humanities. He is former president of the European Association for the Study of Literature, Culture and Environment (EASLCE) and co-founder and coordinator of the Ecocritical Network for Scandinavian Studies (ENSCAN). His research and publications focus on how culture influences human interrelations with and perceptions of the environment and climate, ecological problems, risks, sustainability, and resilience. Currently, he is heading a work package on didactics of oil cultures within the interdisciplinary research project Translatability of Oil, funded by the Research Council of Norway.
