”Exploratorium is a digital toolbox — a rich and continuously growing resource library for early childhood teachers, teacher educators, and researchers. The platform brings together tools, inspiration, and knowledge developed through the EX-PED-LAB project, with the aim of supporting curiosity-driven, exploratory, and co-creative pedagogical practice. Here you will find examples of workshop formats, practical guides, activity ideas, reflection tools, and links to publications, books, and podcasts. All resources are carefully curated to promote exploration, pedagogical innovation, and meaningful collaboration across the early childhood education field. Whether you are planning a workshop, looking for new methods, or seeking inspiration for your own practice or teaching, EXploratorium is here to support you — from hopes and dreams to planning and exploration.

This book chapter is about findings from the first year of the EX-PED-LAB project. Here we highlight both successes and challenges, and discuss what makes co-creation in practice-developing research work – or not work. We will use these findings to further develop the workshop methodology. The chapter is taken from the book "Methodology for Research with Early Childhood Education and Care Professionals", which is available online free of charge.
