Contents and structure

The subject covers LabVIEW used for process data acquisition, manipulation, presentation and generation.

Contents

  • Basic graphical programming
  • Variables, structures, arrays, clusters
  • Producer/consumer structure
  • Data in and out via external equipment (DAQ)
  • Process control with LabVIEW

Learning Outcome

Knowledge

  • The candidate has an overview of programming strategies for graphical programming.

Skills

  • The candidate is able to perform programming in LabVIEW.

General qualifications

  • The candidate is able to participate in planning, commissioning and operation of a system based on LabVIEW

Recommended previous knowledge

The students are assumed to have prerequisites similar to the following subjects:

  • ELE100/ ELE141 Electric Basics 1
  • ELE101/ELE142 Electric Basics 2
  • ELE102 Computer technologies and programming

Lectures and practical exercises

Compulsory learning activities

  • Four approved practical laboratory exercises

Assessment

Oral/practical exam.

Time and place for the exam will be announced via Studentweb. Grades from A to F, where F is not passed.

All aids that do not involve communication with others are allowed.
