This course delves into the theories, strategies, and assessments that underlie how organizations shape their communication and marketing strategies, with a special focus on the digital landscape. Our goal is to equip you with the ability to analyze communication channels and apply models and tools for the planning and execution of marketing activities. You will not only master modern industry tools but also develop a critical reflection on current and future communication challenges in an increasingly global competitive arena.

Learning Outcome

Knowledge

The student has:

  • knowledge of key topics, theories, issues, processes, tools and methods related to how organizations;

    • plans, organizes and controls its marketing and communication
    • analyzes the market and communication channels
    • find target groups and position themselves
    • can adapt and use different competitive tools
  • knowledge of current and emerging research and issues that are relevant to the subject

Skills

The student can:

  • analyze and discuss practical issues in the light of theories and models in the subject and can justify their choices
  • be able to find, evaluate and refer to relevant information and subject matter and present this in the light of an issue within digital communication and marketing

General competence

Students:

  • can convey and discuss theory, models and analyzes both in writing and orally
  • can make independent reflections on ethical, environmental and legal challenges related to key issues in communication and marketing

Teaching methods

Three weekend meetings with lectures and work with practice tasks.

Compulsory learning activities

One written assignment in groups.

Assessment

Home exam over 10 days either alone or in groups of 2 - 3 students - 100%

Grade scale A - F, where F is failed
