Gloria Abena Ampim

Field of work

I am a Postodoctoral Research Fellow with a master's degree in History (2011) from the University of Ghana, Legon, a master's degree in Gender and Development from the University of Bergen (2013), and a PhD also from the University of Bergen (2022). My fields of research and interest lie in gender studies, masculinity studies, community work and development, maternal and child health, and ageing. As a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Welfare and Participation, I am involved in the PreCARETY Project, "Precarity in health and care services: The case of substance use and abuse in old age" (2023-2026). This project draws on document analysis and semi-structured interviews.
