Field of work

Education

I am a trained social worker and have a master's degree in child welfare from the University of Bergen where I investigated the users' experience of the parental guidance program Circle of Security. I have further education in child welfare guidance  from the University of Tromsø, and education in mindfulness from NTNU.

Work experience

I have extensive experience from working in municipal child welfare services, and experience from preventive child welfare in schools, health centers and in public health. In the Child Welfare Service, I worked in particular with guidance of employees with the aim of increasing the quality of cases under the Child Welfare Act and to develop professionalism, prevent burnout and high turnover among employees in the Child Welfare Service. I have been employed in HVL in the 2020/2021 school year, and then employed since January 2023.

Research

I have been a participant in the study "From conflict to danger" which has analysed the prevalence of violence in reports of concern from family counselling offices to the child welfare service.

I am a participant in the research project SAVE, which aims to increase knowledge about violence against children in child welfare investigations, as well as contribute to service development in the child welfare services that participate.

Course

Of courses and certification, I have certification in the parental guidance program Circle of Security - parenting International, as well as course certified in the interaction tool Care Index, the emotion regulation program "psychological first aid for children", the anger management program "break the legacy of violence" by ATV and certification in motivational interviewing.
