She is a trained physiotherapist, have further education in Health Ethics from VID, Leadership and Innovation from USN, as well as a master's degree in Collaboration and Public Health from HVL. She has worked as a physiotherapist and health advisor from 2007 - 2020, and has several years of experience working in the voluntary sector, including medical aid work in the Pacific region. 

Since 2020, she has been added to HVL campus Sogndal. She is affiliated with a bachelor's degree in Social education, and was previously deep into the further education Aktiv Omsorg. She is an international coordinator at the full-time education in Social education, and teach on the bachelor's education in Social education.
