Knut Steffen Vall Kvala

Field of work

I am a lecturer at the HVL School of Business. I am responsible for the Bachelor's program in Economics and Administration (full-time and part-time) as well as the one-year program in administration and leadership at the institute.

I have a degree in business administration from the NHH Norwegian School of Economics, and a Master's in Economics from Nord University.

In addition to focusing on teaching quality through my role as program manager, I lecture in various subjects.

From a research perspective, I am interested in how we can facilitate good learning for students, as well as various areas within business economics.

I am a lecturer in subjects such as accounting, business economics, investment and finance, and macroeconomics.


Research areas

I'm currently involved in three research projects:

  1. Who is the modern Nordic student? A scoping review
  2. The relationship between different teaching arrangements and mental health for students?
  3. Decommissioning of offshore wind
