Project summary

PREP-OT is a side project and development from the PREP project. In PREP-OT we are looking at competence needs for occupational therapists in working with refugees.

Here, we give the Physiotherapy and Refugees Education Project an alternative name, Persons with Refugee Experience Project, to show that we are now increasing to a more interprofessional group. This is a development we have hoped for, and we now have a group to work for this.

This work is financed by work hours from each of the organisations that are involved (FoU time).

The goal of thsi project is to develop the PREP material to also meet the needs of occpational therapists (and other health care professionals) and to develop the PREP network to include more health care professionals. Two bachelor students from HVL are involved in this project in addition to reasearchers and lectureres.

Method

Qualitative interviews with occupational therapists and analyses of interviews with refugees from the PREP project.

Plans: Course development and production of an e-book, or open availbale digital material.
