Project summary
Teaching about religion always involves compromises between theoretical models and representation of religion as it is materialised and practised in the world. This project is an exploration of how integrating new media technology with traditional curriculum texts may serve to increase student awareness of such compromises. We explore how producing virtual 360-tours of religious buildings may enable teacher students of religious education (RE) to build conceptual bridges between their textbooks and material expressions of religion.
