Project summary

TriCHET - Trilateral Consortium for Hydrogen Enabling Technologies is an international collaboration between leading institutions in Norway, India, and South Korea to advance education, research, and industrial validation in green hydrogen (GH2) enabling technologies. TriCHET aims to accelerate the discovery of advanced materials, strengthen system integration skills, and bridge the gap between laboratory innovation and practical deployment, while building educational capacity. It directly addresses critical challenges in hydrogen development, including limited educational infrastructure, material inefficiencies and lack of scalable solutions. TriCHET's main goals are to: (1) Develop knowledge and research on novel catalysts for GH2 production using Al & DFT techniques; (2) Foster structured international mobility, joint teaching, joint research and joint supervision (3) Strengthen research-integrated training through industrial collaboration (4) Build a sustainable Trilateral platform for long-term collaboration TriCHET delivers capacity building, joint research, mobility and dissemination activities across five work packages. These include development/joint teaching of a new coursemodul, summer schools, industry innovation camps, and opportunities for student/researcher exchange. Industrial partners from all 3 countries contribute to real-world validation and mentoring, ensuring scientific results move toward application. TriCHET aligns with the strategic goals of HyValue FME Centre, thenorwegiangovernment's hydrogen roadmap, and INTPART by integrating education, research, and industry across national boundaries. It addresses several SDGs and emphasizes responsible international knowledge cooperation. Challenges such as limited skilled workforce, fragmented infrastructures, and international coordination are met through shared education/research platforms, joint governance structures, and strategic alignment with partners' long-term institutional goals.
