Health Related Quality of Life, Psychosocial Factors and Nutritional Status in Hospitalized Patients

Project summary

This PhD project is a collaboration between the University of Bergen (UiB), Haukeland University Hospital (HUH) and Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL), all located in Bergen, Norway. We will analyse previously unpublished cross-sectional data from 350 patients included in the MALNUTRA project, collected at HUH, a tertiary care hospital in western Norway, from 2017 to 2019, along with 12 and 24 months follow-up data. HUH treats an average of 600,000 somatic patients over 18 years of age annually, admitted for different conditions and diagnoses. Our project aims to study the interplay between Nutritional Status, Health Related Quality of Life and Psychosocial aspects in hospitalized patients.
